RenewableUK Cymru today launched a petition to ask Amber Rudd MP, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, to consult with Welsh Government on any proposals to change the renewable obligation for onshore wind in Wales.

Speaking about the petition, David Clubb said:

“Amber Rudd has the opportunity to respect the mandate of the devolved administrations and act on UK-wide issues in consultation. We’re hoping to remind her of the benefits of working collaboratively, and to see the benefits in maintaining the benefits of onshore wind for Wales.

I would urge anyone who cares about our obligation to future generations, to those in fuel poverty; to anyone who cares about pollution, climate change, energy security and economic development – sign the petition, and make your voice heard”.
