RenewableUK Cymru has welcomed the announcement of the creation of the Celtic Freeport and Anglesey Freeport.
Jessica Hooper, Director of RenewableUK Cymru, said:
“The news that two freeports are to be created in Wales is very welcome indeed. With ambitious net zero targets to achieve, now is the time for action, and both the Celtic Freeport and Anglesey Freeport will have an important role to play in the delivery of renewable energy infrastructure, including fixed and floating offshore wind, marine energy projects and hydrogen.
“We look forward to working with our members in utilising the opportunities from today’s announcement to bring more clean, green energy to Wales.”
