The starting gun has been fired in the race for the coveted Wales Green Energy Awards.

Celebrating the very best of all the aspects which go into green energy projects, the awards ceremony is the highlight of the calendar for many within the energy sector in Wales, and takes place on 6th November.

The awards ceremony is being held, once again, in the St Davids Hotel & Spa in Cardiff Bay. The hotel has recently been awarded the accolade of Gold for green tourism, and is a fitting location for a celebration of things green.

Commenting on the launch of nominations, David Clubb said:

“In the face of some severe economic headwinds, and not a little political oppugnancy from certain political parties, the green energy sector remains one of the very few growth areas for the UK.

“Wales has a long way to go until it fulfils its potential, but we are increasingly seeing innovation, good practice and strong collaboration in Wales. We await what will undoubtedly be a strong set of nominations for this years’ awards.”

Nominations for the 2015 Wales Green Energy Awards can be submitted here. The closing date for entries is Friday 3rd July.
