The next session of the Virtual Energy Network Group will take place on Monday 7 March at 1pm.  It will be co-chaired by RenewableUK Cymru and the Offshore Energy Alliance and will look at developing green skills for a Net Zero Wales.

In addition, taking into consideration the effects of the pandemic, the jobs revolution associated with the Green Recovery is a generational commitment which we cannot fail to deliver on.

What more can we do in Wales to make the renewables industry attractive to a diverse and skilled future workforce?  Furthermore, how do we best utilise the myriad existing, transferable skills that people in Wales can already offer the labour market as requirements change and new opportunities arise?

Representatives from the following organisations will be contributing to the roundtable discussion:

  • Blue Gem Wind
  • Careers Wales
  • Celtic Sea Power
  • Coleg Llandrillo
  • Marine Energy Wales
  • M-SParc
  • North Wales Regional Skills Partnership
  • RWE
  • Welsh Government
  • Wrexham Glyndŵr University

There will also be an opportunity for attendees to comment and ask questions of the panellists.

The event will be held via Microsoft Teams – click here to register.
