Welsh Government has again reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability with the launch of its Energy Efficiency Strategy.
Commenting on the strategy, Sara Powell-Davies, Communications Manager at RenewableUK Cymru, said: “Energy efficiency is the most cost effective way of meeting our carbon reduction commitments. It also offers massive opportunities to create new jobs and skills, as well as reducing energy bills.
“Welsh Government does not have the power to take action but this strategy shows it has the political will. But it should not be shy in its ambition and although these are steps in the right direction, there is still more to be done, especially when it comes to the energy efficiency of new buildings.
“We look forward to working with Welsh Government to help realise the opportunities outlined in this strategy and push the boundary further towards a more sustainable Wales.”
