When we created the Smart Energy Wales concept, we decided to be ambitious. We were going to attract 100 of the brightest and best thinkers, practitioners and entrepreneurs to Cardiff to network, interact, and hear from leaders in the field about what Wales had to offer them.

Little did we think – back in March – that with two months to go, nearly half those places would have gone.

Nor did we imagine that we would be able to attract the likes of the Welsh Govermnent, Arup and British Gas as sponsors in year one. It’s to the credit of those organisations that they’ve stepped up and supported our drive to make Wales the smart place for energy. But it also demonstrates that they see something that some in the energy sector still can’t; that renewables and energy storage are two sides of the same coin, and that smart systems and living will deliver a whole new way to look at, and to interact with, energy.

These are the people who can see that smart energy is the future.

This success has meant that we’ve decided to expand the numbers that can attend the event. However – and here’s the catch – it’s only free for the first 100 attendees. After that we have to cover our costs, and we’ll be charging £49.99+VAT for non-members (it’s £24.99+VAT for members).

We’re delighted to be it the situation where our event is ‘too popular’. If you want a free ticket, you’d better move fast. And if you miss out on a free ticket, we think you’ll find that the event is still excellent value.

See you there!
