The future is green. And Wales took another tiny step in that direction yesterday, with the inaugural Wales Green Building Marketplace.

The conference and expo was opened by Baroness Randerson, who took great pains to emphasise the importance of energy efficiency, and talked about the importance of energy to Wales’ economy.

“I want Wales to be the best. I want it be the best environmentally, because not only does it bring highly-skilled and well-paid jobs which will raise our economy, but also it produces a fairer society.”

David Clubb, Director of RenewableUK Cymru, said:

“This event showed the demand for individuals and businesses in Wales to promote the green building agenda. We’re happy to confirm that we’ll be able to meet some of the demand by holding the event again in 2016, when it’ll be even bigger and better”.
