The Conservative Party has today fired the starting pistol in a race with Ukip to see who can be the most hostile to onshore wind.

It’s politically risky, as survey after survey shows that onshore wind is one of the most popular forms of energy (see here for UK and here for Wales).

RenewableUK Cymru’s Director, David Clubb, said:

“David Cameron pledged that this coalition would be the Greenest Government ever. We can only thank our lucky stars that the Liberal Democrats have prevented an anti-scientific, unsustainable, anti-wind Conservative ideology from wreaking more havoc on an industry which is bringing huge investment and opportunity to communities across Wales.”
