The finalists for this year’s Wales Green Energy Awards have been announced today. The awards, which are organised by RenewableUK Cymru, celebrate the success and achievements of the green energy industry in Wales.

A panel of independent judges comprising Lee Waters, Director of the Institute of Welsh Affairs, Peter Davies, Wales’ Commissioner for Sustainable Futures, Chris Kelsey, Environmental Coordinator for Media Wales’ ‘Go Green’ publication and David Clubb, Director of RenewableUK Cymru have selected the finalists and the winners will be announced in a ceremony on Thursday 9 October in St David’s Hotel in Cardiff.

David Clubb said: “This is only the second year of the awards and the standard has been very high, which I am absolutely delighted about. It shows the green energy industry is thriving in Wales and this gives us an opportunity to celebrate and showcase it the success of companies and individuals involved in the sector.”

The finalists for seven of the categories are listed below. The winner of the Political Award, which is sponsored by Mabey Bridge, will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 9 October.
